Sound Project
The sound project is a project which focuses primarily on the sound rather than the picture. The sound of a production is the most underrated and important part. It plays a big role in developing the emotions of the viewers. In the sound project we were required to create a 1-2 minute audio track about a certain place. I chose to do a casino as it is very noisy. We also had to create some of the sounds using a technique called Foley. We had an outline to organize our sounds into 4 categories. The entrance, the front of the casino, the bar, and the gambling scene. These all came together to allow us to portray the sounds of a casino without creating any visuals. The editing software which was used to edit this project was Premier Pro.
My sound project was pretty good in my eyes with the footsteps and the talking, but some things which I could improve on is creating more spatialized sound effects rather than using many overlays.
